Bean Bag Boards with Andrew!

May 14, 2019 By Community Life Coordinator

Andrew Hansen is a Sophomore at Breckenridge High school. He contacted our community life coordinator in hopes to collaborate on a class project. For Andrew’s Health and English class he was given an assignment geared towards improving the quality of life of individuals in our community. He chose our residents!

Andrew made a bean bag board and taught the residents how to play! This activity brought up many good memories about summer games and activities that our residents have done at family events years ago. Due to popular demand Andrew returned a second day!

It is great watching inter-generational interaction. We had many residents just come to watch and talk with Andrew. Our residents always enjoy when youth come into our building. They love to talk about what the kids are doing, future plans and share knowledge with them!

Forming Health Habits Here At Twin Town Villa!

May 1, 2019 By Community Life Coordinator

May is Global Employee Health and Fitness Month, which is an international observance of health and fitness in the workplace. Average Americans spend one third of their day at work, so its important that you incorporate physical activity during that time.

Here at Twin Town Villa, we are linking up with the program PartnerSHIP 4 Health to promote healthier living. Some things we have worked on in our building is using the stairs more instead of the elevator, walking laps, offering fresh veggie trays. Our goal is to succeed in this program and receive a CDC grant, which we can use towards a filtered water system. Stay tuned for our latest updates.

What is Twin Town Villa?

April 25, 2019 By Community Life Coordinator

Mary Wolfgram, Executive Director, Twin Town Villa

This is a question I get asked frequently, the answer to that question is; we are a home filled with family and friends that offer exceptional senior living with amenities you’ll appreciate today and into the future.

Assisted Living is defined as a special combination of housing, supportive services, personal assistance, and health care designed to respond to the individual needs of those who need help with Activities of Daily Living. Supportive services are available 24 hours a day, to meet scheduled and unscheduled needs, in a way that promotes maximum dignity and independence for each resident and involves the resident’s family, neighbors, and friends.

We take a forward look to how personal and health related services are offered to our residents. We’ll take the time to get to know you as a person. While many senior communities “bundle” their services with their monthly rates, we believe that our residents should “see what they are paying for”. By offering a la’ carte style services, our residents are able to choose the services they need, when they need them. Both personal and health related services are offered to our residents to help them stay as independent as possible, for as long as possible.

We believe in offering choice, maintaining dignity and promoting individuality. We focus on the residents that live in our community. When residents come to live with us, they can expect a wonderful atmosphere where they are valued as an individual. And treated as a family member, imagine having the opportunity to live as a member of a community where people are dedicated to you! Whatever your idea of independence or enjoyment, we have the services to meet your personal needs, both now and in the future.

Come visit and join us for coffee and treats served daily at 3pm, and experience firsthand where friends and neighbors become family.
